Consumable Products
If you have any allergies, we highly recommend researching any consumables you are intending to order in case they include an allergen you cannot have. Taste Revolution is not liable for customers ordering consumable products resulting in an allergic reaction. All of our consumable products have ingredients listed on their packaging if not already included on their product listings. Please be sure to check the products ingredients before consuming.
If your consumable item’s security seal is broken upon delivery (damaged in transport etc.), please DO NOT consume the product and notify our customer services team who will be happy to arrange a return for you for a replacement. We advise this as consumable products have security seals such as a screw on top on syrups or a film cover the lid on coffee tubs so that debris or germs are unable to enter the liquid or substance.

We do not advise using our Whipping Dispensers with other brands not listed on our website despite them being predominantly universal due to the fact that we cannot confirm the safety of other brands or their compatibility with our devices.
When using a Whipping Dispenser, we highly recommend using a comfort grip to minimise the chances of injuring yourself with freeze burn as the cartridges can freeze when the cartridges chambers are released. Before using a Whipping Dispenser, please identify where on the Charger Holder the pressure releasing hole is before use. The pressure releasing hole is a small, manufactured hole in the charger holder to allow additional gas to safely release from the charger holder if the device experiences failure for safety purposes when handling pressurised gas. PLEASE DO NOT COVER THE PRESSURE RELEASING HOLE. Whipping Dispensers can thread if screwed on too tightly or at an incorrect angle so please handle with care. We advise watching tutorials on YouTube or online of how to correctly use a dispenser safely before using one for the first time. If you checkout our YouTube page, we have some great examples on there of not only instructions but also recipes!
The maximum chargers to be used in anything below a 500ml Whipping Dispenser is 1 charger. 1L Whipping Dispensers can hold a maximum of 2 chargers. Warning: If you use more than the recommended level of charge, an explosion could occur from excessive pressure. Nitrous Oxide (N2O Cream Chargers)
N2O
Product Details: A whipped cream charger is a steel cylinder or cartridge filled with approximately 8g of Nitrous Oxide. The narrow end of a charger has a foil covering over the tip which is broken to release the gas. This is done by a sharp pin inside the whipped cream dispenser.
Restrictions: Cream Chargers are an age restricted product, meaning you must be at least 18 years old in order to purchase. N2O is age restricted due to Cream Chargers being a pressurised gas and potentially dangerous if handled incorrectly. They are also age restricted due to the gas’s psychoactive properties if consumed, which is deemed misuse of the product similarly to how solvents and glues can be misused. Using Nitrous Oxide for it’s psychoactive properties by inhaling the gas is in direct breach of the Psychoactive Substances Act of 2016 and is illegal. We do not condone nor associate the company with those intending or promoting the misuse of Nitrous Oxide.
Disposing of Cream Chargers: Used chargers are non-refillable, but 100% recyclable where steel recycling programs exist. To be properly recycled, Cream Chargers require expelling of all gas before being chopped in half by appropriate machinery. This is a safety measure set out by the manufacturers to ensure that the cartridges are completely empty of compressed gas before being put through recycling machines which could be very dangerous.
Storing Cream Chargers: Cream Chargers must be kept out of reach or accessibility of minors under the age of 18 years old. Cream Chargers must be kept in a cool place (under 50°C) and must not exposed to direct heat. Nitrous Oxide is a non-flammable gas however it has the capability to oxidise. The oxidation number of O in N2O is -2 and the number for N is +1. As N2O has no charge, the sum of the oxidation numbers is equal to 0. 2(+1) + (-2) = 0.
For detailed information about our range of N2O Cream Chargers please read the Taste Revolution Misuse Safeguarding page. For specific branded manufacturers info please see our Cream Chargers Manufacturers Safety Information Page linked HERE.
8g-16g Cream Chargers
A whipped cream charger is a steel cylinder or cartridge filled with approximately 8g of Nitrous Oxide. The narrow end of a charger has foil covering the tip which is broken to release the gas. This is done by a sharp pin inside the whipped cream dispenser.
580g Cylinder Cream Chargers
A whipped cream cylinder that is available in stainless steel or aluminum filled with approximately 580g of Nitrous Oxide. The larger cylinder can also be used with a whipped cream dispenser by using the system as follows:
Screw the pressure regulator onto the N2O cylinder. Pull the adapter off of the pressure regulator hose, and screw it onto the cream dispenser.
Pour the ingredients for the recipe into a whipped cream dispenser and close the lid.
Connect the pressure regulator hose to the cream dispenser via the push-pull connector, making sure that the flow switch is OFF. You will hear a click sound when it is connected.
When the system is fully connected, open the flow switch at the end of the hose, by moving the lever in the direction of ON.
Set the barometer to your desired working pressure by turning the barometer knob in a clockwise motion. You will hear a slight hissing sound as the gas flows into the cream dispenser. Check the Smartwhip pressure table for a rough indication of how much pressure to use.
When the hissing sound has stopped, close the flow switch in the OFF direction, ensuring it is at a 90-degree junction with the pressure regulator head.
Disconnect the pressure regulator hose from the cream dispenser by squeezing the connector body and removing the cream dispenser.
Shake the cream dispenser to evenly distribute the gas, then place your decorating tip of choice onto the cream dispenser and release the contents as you would with a standard sized cream charger.
Dangers of Misuse (Nitrous Oxide)
Misuse
Misusing Nitrous Oxide is classified by a user intentionally using the substances for its psychoactive effects by inhaling the gas. The Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 is a law in the United Kingdom intended to restrict the production, sale and supply of a new class of psychoactive substances often referred to as “legal highs”. TalkToFrank Website Quote: “As of 2016, nitrous oxide is covered by the Psychoactive Substances Act and is illegal to supply for its psychoactive effect.”
Nitrous Oxide has been used in the culinary industry for decades and using Nitrous Oxide for catering and it’s other legitimate uses is legal. However in recent years, Nitrous Oxide has unfortunately become a popular substance that has been abused and misused for it’s effects on the central nervous system when inhaled. It has been featured in the media more in recent years which has been a leading cause of its rise in popularity. Taste Revolution does not condone, promote, encourage or advise anyone in any way to misuse Nitrous Oxide and Taste Revolution has extensive safeguarding measures in place to stop the products from being misused. Taste Revolution reserves the right to refuse sale to anyone we deem unacceptable to sell N2O to or that we are suspicious of potentially misusing or of being under the age of 18 years old.
When professionals prepare and utilize Nitrous Oxide within a safe medical environment as a medical aesthetic, they handle it in a controlled manner with appropriate equipment. Attempting to administer on one’s self outside of the medical industry has the potential to lead to immediate fatality via asphyxiation (choking due to a lack of oxygen). There can be serious long-term physical and/or mental side effects, at the very least. The substance referred to as “Laughing Gas” is not pure N2O like what is found within cream chargers, but is actually, in fact, a combination of about 70% Oxygen and 30% Nitrous Oxide.
For detailed information about the misuse of Nitrous Oxide please read the Taste Revolution Misuse Safeguarding page.
Our Policy on the Misuse of Nitrous Oxide
Procedures Of Misuse
Safeguarding the general public and our customers is of utmost importance to us at Taste Revolution. Extensive measures and safeguards are in place publicly and internally to stop users from misusing Nitrous Oxide. We do not disclose our internal policies on monitoring, analysing and handling Nitrous Oxide orders as this is private company information and will not be released to the public so that misusers will not be able to navigate themselves around our systems, policies and procedures.
At Taste Revolution we have a policy called ‘The Procedures of Misuse’ that all of our staff are fully trained and tested regularly on to ensure sale of Nitrous Oxide is handled appropriately. Staff are informed not to disclose how the policy works or how orders are analysed before dispatch. What we can confirm is involved in the policy is that Nitrous Oxide is not to be sold to anyone under the legal age of 18 years old. Anyone suspected to intend to misuse the products will be refused sale and blocked from purchasing meaning any orders on hold will be cancelled and refunded. We reserve the right to hold an order up to 72 hours whilst the order is investigated and analysed by our designated order analysers. You have a right to request a cancellation and refund at any time during the holding of an order, however you will be blocked from purchasing if the order analysis is not complete or is rejected. If you do not wish to be subject to these order investigations, please do not place an order on our website.
Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
CO2
Product Details: A Powerlet cartridge, commonly referred to as a CO2 charger, is a small disposable metal container holding anything between 8g – 88g of compressed CO2 and often a small quantity of oil, used as a power source for certain air guns, airsoft guns, paintball guns, and for quick inflation of various devices, such as a personal flotation device.
Restrictions: CO2 Chargers are an age restricted product, meaning you must be at least 18 years old in order to purchase. CO2 is age restricted due to being a pressurised gas and potentially dangerous if handled incorrectly.
Disposing of CO2: Used chargers are non-refillable, but 100% recyclable where steel recycling programs exist. To be properly recycled, CO2 Chargers require expelling of all gas before being chopped in half by appropriate machinery. This is a safety measure set out by the manufacturers to ensure that the cartridges are completely empty of compressed gas before put through recycling machines which could be very dangerous.
Storing CO2 Chargers: CO2 Chargers Must be kept out of reach or accessibility of minors under the age of 18 years old. CO2 Chargers must be kept in a cool place (under 50°C) and must not exposed to direct heat. For over a century CO2 has been recognised as a workplace hazard at high concentrations. However, CO2 is naturally present in the air we breathe at a concentration of about 0.037% and is not harmful to health at low concentrations. Inhalation: Low concentrations are not harmful. Higher concentrations can affect respiratory function and cause excitation followed by depression of the central nervous system. A high concentration can displace oxygen in the air. CO2 is not flammable and cannot be ignited and is in fact very commonly used in fire extinguishers to put out electrical fires.
N2
Product Details: An N2 charger, is a small disposable metal container holding anything between 2g-2.4g of compressed Nitrogen. The containers are usually made out of stainless steel which is recyclable where accepted. N2 is an odorless, diatomic gas which means it consists of 2 atoms. The colours of the N2 cartridge can vary depending on the specific brand but are usually silver or brown. N2 has lots of culinary uses including creating the popular ‘nitro coffee or beer’ and adding silky texture when used with a beer keg. It is commonly used to create the famous brand ‘Guinness’s’ well known Irish Stoat texture.
Due to the nature of the product, N2 is a restricted product and should only be sold and used by over 18’s. It can be potentially dangerous if not handled correctly. Do not use the N2 cartridges for anything other than specified by the manufacturer.
Storage and disposal: Store the N2 containers in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight or heat. Recyclable steel. Please check your local area for an appropriate recycling program. Never dispose of full cartridges, N2 cartridges are non refillable, please ensure that all the gas is dispelled before disposing. Keep the packaging/ box until the last cartridge from the box is used.
